The Vampire Diaries is the story of two brothers, vampires, who love the same girl, and who are struggling to control the destiny of the entire city. In the first season, Stefan and Damon Salvatore returned to his hometown of Mystic Falls, Virginia, for very different reasons. Stefan was determined to get to know Elena Gilbert, who bears a striking resemblance to Katherine Pierce ─ beautiful but ruthless vampire. Damon was also going to release Katherine from the crypt, where, as he believed she was caught in a trap by witch many years ago. In the second season the appearance of Catherine and her calculating, manipulating drove a wedge into a love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon. The third season revealed the story of Claus and his family, as well as a surprising friendship Claus and his sister Rebecca, shared with Stefan several decades earlier. Now, Klaus’ returning pushed the Stefan back at the cruel way “Ripper”. Elena and Damon tried to return Stefan. In the fourth season, everything is changed. As Elena and her friends enter into the final period of study, but before the release of their share, the relationship with the home town of Mystic Falls will mean more when a new villain appears, determined to destroy thier city.
